Musing tonight

I never imagined myself
This way
lingering away
waiting to see
the sun in my day

It's so dark
I can't talk
the loneliness deep
bare to keep

The night so dull
just like I
opaque and bleak
just can't sleep

Silence is heard
no sound no word
I try to lie
in restless care
prefer to die
then go nowhere
