Survival

You took me there
where love was true
and all we shared
was all I knew

We went together
in an eternal voyage
and sailed away
forever to stay

Remember the day
you took my hand
and kiss it so
with a rose

Then we spoke
how much we cared
about the love
forever shared

I blessed the nights
where we once were
and now I wish
that all was love...

I was tortured by a heartbreak
which I couldn’t describe
the way it destroyed my life

The world I had
all vanished in one day
I couldn't get through my days

You were my hope
the base of my dreams
the only one of my means

When you told me so
I really didn’t know
How your love would go

The dreams we made together
when you spoke and said
All would never ever end

Today all seems so sad
never knew life would be so bad
When life ends your illusion

Now I stand alone
With my heart in destruction
with a painful heart in construction
