Remembering You

I have never forgotten you
as I await many sunny days
although storms have come and gone
my heart beats the same

It was hard living without you
hard to see the rain
to face the sun
to smile again

Having to live without you
not to hear your voice
nor touch your hand
and watch your eyes

The birds have left
and lonely I
stare at the air
waiting for you to arrive
